CATCH UP not Ketcup!

Hey I know it has been a long time. Busy and I could make up a bunch of excuses. Well my oldest, YIKES, turned 10. Double digits. Can't believe it! Wasn't I just rocking him to sleep? Now he is rolling his eyes at me and get this, knows more than me. We still haven't had a birthday party for him. We have had games on weekends, practice on Friday nights. Just crazy.

I turned the big 40 at the end of April. Chris and I originally planned to go away for a few days. I really didn't feel like it after losing my brother. We decided to stay home. My mom and step-dad wanted to come down to celebrate. It was nice for my mom. She needed it. She took me out to lunch at the beach. We talked a lot and had some wine. It was really nice for it to be just the two of us. My other brothers really don't talk about Dave's death either.

My brother's death has taught me some things too. The importance of having a will or trust. Although, I know my brother told me he had one that he did online but we can't find. It has been a nightmare. The judge has ruled that my brother's ex-wife is to be the executor of his estate. I do not have anything nice to say about her so I will not say anything at all. I did try to send my nephew an Easter card, only to have her open it, tape it back up, and write Return to Sender on it. So, I guess I will have to wait till Matt is 18 to try and talk to him. I did send the card to my mom so the lawyer could see it. Our lawyer thinks she is sweet as pie. I think all this additional stuff makes it even harder to deal with his death. I still miss him. I just try to remember what would he want me to do? Dave was always better and never bitter.

Ketchup, camping soon. We will go fishing, swimming and do more fishing. Memorial Day weekend. Remember. I think I am going to go to Michael's and buy some flags.
