DARE and Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving went well. A lot of food. First time I had so many people for a sit down dinner. Two turkeys. I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted. I was just to busy. It was nice to have family here. Cramped but nice.

DARE
Evan graduated from DARE on Wednesday. What is DARE? Drug,Abuse,Resistance,Education. Evan was happy, as was I. He was so happy to see his grandma there. My mom couldn't believe what the kids learned and the winning essays the kids wrote. It was a nice program.

Soon

Ok, I know I just posted but soon it will be really crazy here. Company will be arriving from up north. Hopefully I will not mess up Thanksgiving dinner. We are excited to have everyone come here. We haven't had this many family at our house since Evan's baptism in NJ. Gosh, he isn't a baby anymore. Well, I think I hear my mom and step-dad outside. Fun, no stress, happy face.... be Thankful. I am, even though I don't sound it all the time.

KING TUT! TUT!

King Tut! Tut! He was so divine,
King Tut! Tut! Yes very, very fine!

Allan had his Temples and Tombs program on Tuesday Nov. 18th. What a fun night. I helped with set up, I should have gotten a reserved front row seat. Oh, well. Allan did some singing but that was all. He was happy as a clam. Very cute. His friend from down the street that is always over was in it too. And of course his best friend. I wish they were in the same class.

Weekend

Just wanted to post some pictures from the weekend. Chris and I were lucky to get away for our anniversary. My brother watched the boys. It was nice to get away.

Puppies

This morning I went with my friend Nancy to see some puppies she looks after. Oh my GOSH! So cute. Poor Chris, he knew I wanted one. Of course we can't have one. Nancy is such an animal person. She goes out and feeds the mother of the puppies while the owners are at work. I can't wait to go again. There are eight bundles of crying, wet noses to cuddle.

Halloween and Soccer

Ok, I thought this would be easy to keep up. I am finding it a little harder than I thought. That's the way it goes with almost everything I try. Hey but that is the fun of it. Hope you enjoy my ramblings.

The kids had a lot of fun on Friday night trick or treating. We went with a friend in the neighborhood and his son. Actually, Chris and Steve took the boys and I stayed and handed out candy with a friend. Daren handed out candy for us at our house. Evan nearly got the life scared out of him at one house. I heard it was a hoot. He received extra candy for being so brave. ( oh in case you are wondering what are the boys dressed up as???? I know, not as good as times past. Evan is a Mad Scientist and Allan is a Rock Star.)

Sunday Evan had his last soccer game of the season. They won 3 - 2. Yes, I am a proud mama. Evan scored all three goals. The beginning of the season wasn't so great. Hopefully it will continue to get better.
