On the Farm

These are some pictures taken at Eric's farm. The boys had a blast. They fished, fed cows, chickens, horses, the donkey, etc. Picked fresh veggies for dinner. (not their favorite thing to do and eat) Notice the trout Evan is holding. There is a fish story behind it. But for now, it was caught on a fly rod of Eric's. Evan never ran so fast to show me a fish. He was grinning ear to ear. And Allan, no fear of these large Friesian horses. He was a natural. Riding Todd bare back. So of course their Christmas list is very expensive this year. They want to live on a farm. Evan wants a fly rod and Allan a horse. (on top of the death star lego set that cost $399.00) Dave better start sending me some pennies from heaven.

PASSIONATE

This son of mine has a thing for fishing. He not only wants to fish everyday but he actually knows so much more about it. Evan has a very tattered copy of the Bass Pro Shop catalog that he knows inside and out. This catalog is looked at almost everyday. Along with a notebook that he keeps with a wish list of fishing things he would like to get that constantly change from day to day. I am shown these amazing lures, reels, rods, tackle boxes that he needs to fish better. (I think it is more as a hint) He knows what lure to use for what fish, type of rods, reels, etc. And if anyone is telling fish stories, he is there listening with all ears. He wants to know more. His dream is to be able to travel across the country and fish for a living. What a life that would be. Whatever makes you happy. Fishing absolutely does! I love seeing you happy.

Picture from the fourth of July

Muffin oh Muffin. She hates fireworks! Where can a big dog hide? She didn't even want to come out to go to the bathroom. Poor thing. If only the space under the couch was a tad bit bigger.

Fourth was a hard day. Memories, tears, and a little bit of laughter. Still so fresh and hard. I miss ya bro. I will always celebrate your birthday with the rest of the country.

SWEET SUMMER

AHHH, Sweet summer.
We have been so busy this summer. Beach, pool, visiting family in CT and OH. Playing with friends that I just haven't posted. School will start soon. The boys are not ready and either am I. I think summer goes by too fast just like everything else.

My plans are to up date with some pictures soon. Highlight some of the summer events. The picture above is the boys at Kent Falls in July. They love this place. They always play in the water at the top of the falls. Search for salamanders, tadpoles and any other crazy strange thing they can find.
