My Little Man

On the first of April Allan turned 8. I can't believe it. Where has the time gone. We also had a birthday party at home on the 4th. He had just four of his friends over. They had a great time. We played kickball, basketball, cornhole, cosmo catch, tag, and a bidding game. Afterwards the kids used squirt guns, paper airplanes, and played Star Wars.

Chris and the boys and some scrap friends surprised me with a surprise crop at the scrapbook store for my birthday last Sunday. I kinda knew about it. It was nice. I just still feel bad about my brother. I still think about him everyday.

My book club met on Thursday and did the same. Talk about feeling loved. Tracey made me a coke cola cake and Dianna bought me a beautiful flowers. I didn't know that they knew it was my birthday. So I was surprised. We are reading the Last Lecture for our next book. Hopefully it will be inspiring.

MY BIG BROTHER

This is the from the newspaper. Many of you already know my brother passed. What a week. My previous post was off the wall but I was so shocked and upset, still am. My brother Dave was a good friend to me, my confidant, protector and my personal comedian. I am going to miss him so much. There are so many memories for me to hang on to and I will try to be a better person too. My brother did so much. He worked in soup kitchens, he did a lot of Bike runs, he learned to sign to talk to a guy in his work. He was such a GOOD guy. A joker too. One of his nick names, another big teddy bear. He made everyone laugh. So for today, make someone smile. Tell a joke. Help someone out. Just do something good.
